Donaghmore/Ashbourne 1 – 17
Dunshaughlin 1 – 10
Our Senior team booked their place in the Senior Championship Quarter Final against Seneschalstown with this seven point victory over Dunshaughlin at Pairc Tailteann on Sunday. Dylan Brady’s goal in the twenty third minute helped us to a half time lead 1 – 6 to 0 – 5 after a disappointing first half marred by a lot of pulling and dragging and off the ball incidents. Our lads played much better in the second half registering eleven points to a goal and four. James Colgan, Sean Curran and Darragh McGovern, who got forward to score two points, were very solid in our defence who were forced to line out without the injured Cormac McGill and Shane Melia. Bryan Menton enjoyed some good moments at midfield especially in the second half. Up front Conor Carton worked hard until departing after a second yellow card near the end while Dylan Brady was the biggest threat to the Dunshaughlin backs.
Don/Ash: Jack Hannigan, Thomas McGovern, James Colgan, JP Casserly, Darragh McGovern 0 – 2, Eoighan Riordan, Sean Curran, Conor Carey, Bryan Menton 0 – 3, Cathal Field, Conor Carton 0 – 1, Andrew Tormey 0 – 2, Dylan Brady 1 – 2, David Morgan, Michael Deegan 0 – 5 (5f).
