Don/Ash maintained their quest for a place in the quarter finals of the Senior Championship with a three point win over neighbors Ratoath in Stamullen on Sunday.
Two superb goals from the excellent Dylan Brady helped the winners to a half time advantage of 2 – 5 to nine points, the points were scored by Conor Carton, Michael Deegan (2), Cathal Field and Thomas McGovern.
Don/Ash made a blistering start to the second half with points from Michael Deegan, Dylan Brady and Andrew Tormey in the first three minutes. Ratoath chipped away at the lead scoring three points as Don/Ash went almost twenty three minutes without scoring. A Michael Deegan free was cancelled out by a similar score from Ratoath before Sean Curran made a fantastic run from defense and popped over the final score of the game.
Jack Hannigan was very steady in goals throughout the game, Eoighan Riordan, Sean Curran Thomas and Darragh McGovern were excellent in defense while up front Dylan Brady and Michael Deegan were the pick of the forwards.
