Don/Ash lost out to Dunboyne in this keenly contested and entertaining Junior B game at Ratoath on Friday. The first twenty minutes were very even with never more than a point between the sides, however five wides in the final ten minutes would cost Don/Ash dearly as Dunboyne went in at the break leading by seven points to five.
That lead was extended to four points midway through the second half but Don/Ash inspired by the influential David Carey fought back to within a single point with time almost up, however despite their best efforts they could not get an equalizer and Dunboyne scored twice in injury time to secure the points.
