Donaghmore/Ashbourne 5-13
Navan O’Mahonys 0-11
Donaghmore/Ashbourne recorded a surprisingly easy win over an under strength Navan O’Mahonys side in this A League game at Ashbourne on Tuesday.
The Navan side scored the first two points of the game but Don/Ash soon settled and playing some fast attacking football they established an interval lead of 2-09 to 0-05, the goals from Bryan Menton after seventeen minutes and a Ciaran Ellis effort just before the break.
O’Mahonys made a positive start to the second half with two fine points but two goals and a point in a five minute spell from the in-form Michael Deegan killed the game as a contest. Midfielder Sean Curran scored the fifth goal as the home side ran out comfortable winners preserving their unbeaten run in the League.
