All-Ireland Schools B Semi-Final
SPSL Rathmore 2-14 ACS Ashbourne 4-05
The kerry team started the stronger and controlled the game through most of the 1st half going in up 2-07 to 0-03 at the break. ACS regrouped and showed the real character of this fine team by hitting the back of the net within seconds of the restart. They followed with three further goals and with 10 minutes to go the Ashbourne School lead by a point. In a tense closing 8 minutes Scoil Phobail Sliabh Luachra drew level and then went three points ahead. ACS had a goal mouth scramble attempt in the final seconds, however it was to be the Kerry mens day wining by three 2-14 to 4-05 and progress to a Croke Park Final in two weeks time.
The ACS players did their school, their community, their county and Leinster proud with their performance today. Well done to the players and managers, Leinster Champions and a very special group of players.
