Donaghmore/Ashbourne’s second string made it three wins from three in the Intermediate Championship with this hard fought win over previously unbeaten Dunderry at Skryne on Sunday. The south Meath side led at half time by seven points to three thanks to three points from David Dowd (1f), two from Sam Benville (1f), a David Morgan point and a converted forty five from goalkeeper Andy Colgan.
The second half was a very close affair with the sides scoring five points each and despite the best efforts of Dunderry, Don/Ash managed to hold on to their four point lead and claim a deserved victory. Sam Benville scored two points in the second period, Jack Giles who was excellent throughout kicked a point after a great run forward and the other points came from David Dowd and substitute John Broderick.
