Michael (Mick) Long R.I.P.

It is with great sadness that we heard of the passing of Mick Long at the weekend. Mick and his family have had a longstanding association with Donaghmore Ashbourne GAA club. Mick was captain of the Donaghmore team who won the Meath Junior football championship in 1971.
We would like to express our deepest sympathies to his wife Mary, sons Donal, David & Joseph, daughters Elizabeth, Serena, Caroline & Jennifer and indeed all of his extended family on his passing.

Funeral arrangements are as follows:

(Fleenstown, The Ward, Co. Meath) – Oct. 18, 2015 (peacefully), in the exceptional care of the staff at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, beloved father of the late Michelle; sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, sons Donal, David and Joseph, daughters Elizabeth, Serena, Caroline and Jennifer, sons-in-law and partners, grandchildren, his mother Molly, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, good neighbours, relatives and friends. R.I.P. Reposing at home from 7 o’c. until 9 o’c. today (Monday) and from 2 o’c. until 6 o’c. tomorrow (Tuesday). Removal on Wednesday to Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ashbourne arriving for Mass at 11 o’c. Funeral afterwards to St. Declan’s Cemetery, Ashbourne. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Blanchardstown Palliative Care. House private please on Wednesday morning.
