St. Patrick's 2-05 - 3-13 Don/Ash Inter Football

21st June 2016 - 7:45 pm at Stamullen

Donaghmore/Ashbourne 3-13
St. Patricks 2-05

Don/Ash came away from Stamullen with a 3-13 to 2-05 win over St. Patricks in the B League Div 1 game and in doing so over take them in topping the table on score difference.

The visitors started brightly and led after six minutes by 1-02 to no score with the goal coming from Tony Morgan. St. Pats found their way back into the game and a goal on the stroke of half time left only a point between the sides with Don/Ash leading 1-04 to 1-03
Five unanswered points and an Eoghain Riordan goal after the break put the eventual winners in the driving seat and although St. Pats scored their second goal midway during the half, Don/Ash ran out convincing winners. The third goal coming from Eric Callaghan ten minutes from the end.

For Don/Ash who were missing a number of regulars it was a solid team performance and it was great to see David Morgan back in action after a long lay off due to injury and also great to see three of our Minor players Leo Reilly, Stephen Carton and Shane Rae make their adult football debuts.
