Foalan Smith popped over a free after 5 minutes for the visitors who started to compete well all over the pitch. Kevin McInerney fired one just over the bar before Faolan Smith pointed from a free and Anthony Lynn ventured forward to hit a great point to level things up. Walterstown scored 2 more frees before Fergal Heffernan pointed after a 45 attempt broke to him. Walterstown got their range and made no mistake with the next 5 points one of which was a free between the 26th and the 35 minutes (5 mins of stoppage time at the end of the half).
